2017 WAS A GREAT YEAR!
It takes a lot of hard work and a team effort to create change in the world. We’ve got ourselves a great little piece of the world here in Texas and it’s our job to make sure we keep it a place we can all love, appreciate, and enjoy.
We can’t thank you enough for being part of this important effort in 2017! Your dedication to Texas land, water, and wildlife is working to create a culture of conservation in this state where, regardless of political affiliation, we believe in conserving our natural resources. Your commitment to protecting the nature of Texas will make it so strip malls won’t suffocate our wetlands and housing developments won’t steal all of our amazing Texas views.

If you’ve had the pleasure of hiking or biking the 8-miles of trails at Oak Cliff Nature Preserve in Dallas, then you know it is pretty easy to get lost. So TLC Stewardship Director, Stephen Ramirez developed a great way to help visitors feel comfortable and safe while wandering around the preserve. Now when people call us to say they are lost, we can say “there’s an app for that!” The 
Thanks to support from the Hoblitzelle Foundation, in 2017 we installed six-foot wrought iron fencing along the western boundary to direct traffic to the main entrance and deter illegal dumping. We were also able to put in a sidewalk connecting OCNP to existing pedestrian routes along Pierce Street to give neighbors more freedom to move along the community safely and access the preserve. OCNP is visited by thousands of trail users each year and we are grateful to the dedicated volunteers from
