On Saturday, May 11th, TLC is hosting an Open Preserve Day at our Los Rincones preserve in southwest Kerrville. Normally closed to the public, its steep limestone canyons are home to the endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler and a diversity of native grasses, flowers, cacti, and trees.
We will also be hosting a BioBlitz using iNaturalist. This is a project designed to capture data on plants and animals found in the preserve during the open day. Everyone is welcome to participate, and prizes will be given to the top teams and individuals.

Texas Land Conservancy membership is not required but appreciated.
Los Rincones preserve is located at 1600 Sheppard Rees Road in Southwest Kerrville. From Sidney Baker St (Hwy 16) take Thompson Dr (Hwy 98) northwest for .9 miles. Turn left on Sheppard Rees Road and follow for 1.7 miles. Look for a Texas Land Conservancy sign and gate on the right. Click here to view a map. Please carpool if you can!
